Curry Turkey Sausage Rolls
These Curry Turkey Sausage Rolls combine flaky homemade puff pastry with a savory filling of seasoned turkey sausage and warm curry spices. Inspired by classic British sausage rolls, this easy homemade appetizer is perfect for parties, holiday gatherings, game day snacks, or meal prep. The buttery puff pastry bakes golden and crisp around the flavorful sausage filling, creating a delicious hand-held snack that can be served warm or at room temperature.
Ingredients
- 1 sheet of puff pastry cut in half lengthwise (or make your own using my recipe for homemade puff pastry here)
- 1 pound of ground turkey
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 4 Tbsp curry powder
- 1/3 cup water
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 1/4 cup butter (melted)
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Turn oven on to 425°F
- Place turkey, breadcrumbs, salt, curry powder and water into food processor and pulse until all ingredients are completely incorporated and mixture is very fine, place in medium bowl.
- Add melted butter to frozen peas in small bowl and mix.
- Mix peas into turkey mixture.
- Cut 1 sheet of puff pastry in half lengthwise and place half of the turkey mixture down the center of each half of puff pastry.
- Pinch together the seams of the puff pastry to enclose the turkey mixture. Turn over, seam side down and cut each roll into 8 pieces.
- Place onto a garment lined baking sheet and make a small slit into the top of each roll. Brush with egg wash.
- Place in oven and bake at 425°F for 25 minutes (or until 165°F in middle).
- Allow to cool 5 minutes and enjoy.
Notes
These keep well in the fridge for 3-4 days or 3-4 months in the freezer.
Reheat in a 375°F oven for 15 minutes from fridge, or 25 minutes from frozen.
